I read in a magazine that you could put deodorant on your feet. If it helps you not sweat from your arm pets then your feet wont sweat.

Good Luck

Isn't that what the chalk is for? Rub the chalk all over you before you go and your hands and feet won't be sweaty.
Reply:Haven't you ever seen gymnasts "chalk up" before they go onto those events? It'll take care of all the sweat.
Reply:in extreme cases like that, you can get botox in the areas that are overly sweaty. This shuts down the sweat glands for about 6 months.
Reply:use chalk
Reply:The above people have said to chalk up, but that is not the answer. That will not help the sweat marks, and most gyms only allow putting chalk on if you are on bars. I don't find it very usefull for sweatiness. The best thing to do is to use deodorant on your hands and feet. Don't worry too much about the beam, though, because the beam isn't one of the main events you will practice as a beginner, and you won't slip due to the material the beam is made of.
Reply:DON'T USE CHALK! It does exactly the opposite, it rubs off and makes calluses and does not help unless your hands have become adapted, and it makes them more sweaty.

Sweat is normal in gymnastics, no one really cares much, EVERYONE sweats when they are working hard. But don't say you sweat, you glisten. :) But don't worry about being embarrassed by it.

If you take a tight grip on bars, the sweat can help you spin easier compared to being stuck! If you buy hand grips, which usually aren't expensive at all, the problem is solved entirely!

And you won't slip on the beam (from sweat anyway) because it is very rough...

Hey, good luck!
