Stop sweat?

i am 13 and i often get sweat marks underneath my armpits even when im not doing sports(i do use deodrant) and because of this i cant wear tops wiv sleaved any ideas on how to stop it happening?
Stop sweat?
hey there!

You might be one of the lucky 176 million people that have hyperhidrosis. It's a genetic medical disorder that makes your body sweat 4 or 5 times what is necessary to regulate your temperature. The International Hyperhidrosis Soaciety has a bunch of information for teens and a FREE work book: "Teen Sweat 101" available through their website: www.SweatHelp.org. Or you can just send a request with your mailing address to: Support @SweatHelp.org. They send it to you free right away. Very cool.

And to answer your questions directly: According to the IHHS, you can stop excessive sweating in your armpits (called axillary hyperhidrosis by the medical community) by using strong antiperspirants correctly and/or by getting Botox. Botox injections in the armpit really are not as painful as it may sound and it works really well. The best thing to do is go to the International Hyperhidrosis Society's web site (www.SweatHelp.org) and look for a dermatologist that is listed there. Since you're only 13, they may not give you Botox, but that's up to you and your parents and doctor.

If that's the case, then you need to check out really good anti-perspirants that won't cause your armpit to break out in a rash. In the IHHS's recent newsletter (where they post latest developments) they wrote an article about Secret Clinical Strength. I got myself a free sample and so far so good.

Ok, to make them work best, here are some tips from the IHHS about Anti-perspirant (AP)use:

1.) Apply before you go to bed so that the AP can make a nice plug in your sweat duct and not be washed away by lots of sweat (which is what happens when you only apply in the morning)

2.) Make sure your armpit is TOTALLY dry before you apply the AP (this reduces the irritation)

3.) Whatever brand of AP you like, use it in the SOFT SOLID form because that's the one that gives the best results.

4.) You can apply the AP again in the morning if you want.

I hope this helps. Good luck!
Stop sweat?
i put toilet paper underneath my armpits, and just don't lift m arms so people can see it, but i don't get sweat marks cause the toilet paper stays in place and absorbs the sweat. put deoderant on, then a kleenex.
Reply:buy the invisible solid SECRET spring breeze at walgreens
Reply:Deodorant doesn't actually stop you from sweating, it just makes it so that when you do, you don't smell (hence de-odor).

Unless you have antiperspirant or a combination of the two, it won't stop you from sweating.
Reply:Okay, I used to have this problem so I've got the perfect fix that has worked for everyone who has used this product.

CertainDri Antiperspirant works miracles! You apply once every day, and it does take one to two days to take effect, but once it does, there is no more sweating! It's only $6 or $7 a bottle (it's a roll-on formula) and you can buy it pretty much anywhere, though the price differs depending on where it's purchased.

Deodorant doesn't keep you from sweating, so buying a new stick or switching to a new brand will make no difference. Deodorant just does what is says: de-odor, do don't expect a new brand to fix the situation.

Try CertainDri!
