I'm 17 weeks pregnant and for some reason,I'm having thick yellowish, white discharge that doesn't smell like when you first hit puberty but it's more of a sweat smell. Also,I've been itching in "That area" for like a week and a half and I thought maybe it's just me sweating or something.Well even a while after showers,I itch again and after I scratch,I get red and kinda swollen there...I;m not allergic to any soaps or the prenatal vitamins I'm taking but this is making me miserable..PLEASE,I'm so new at this and really want to know if this needs to be taken to the doctor..I'm kinda nervous and scared..It's not bad is it and should I be kinda embarassed to ask these kind of questions?I just mainly want to know if this is normal being pregnant and all...Please help me out! :/
Thanks.
Can anyone help me with my probelm?
It sounds like a yeast infection, but you need to call your doctors office and talk to a nurse. She would be able to tell you if you need to come in to see them or if it is safe to use an over the counter treatement while you are pregnant.

This sounds like you have a yeast infection. This is common in pregnancy. It is more common in women with gestational diabetes. I had GD with both my kids and with my daughter the yeast infections came early on. Not only did I have one "down there", but also under my breasts. It was terrible. I doubt you have had the diabetes test yet since they usually do that at about 28 weeks. Just watch for increased thirst and urination. Especially starting in the 4th month. For now I would call your OB and let him/her know the symptoms you are having and they can direct you to the proper treatment.
Reply:its probably hust a yeast infection go to a pharmacy and get vagisil it really works
