Can you really sweat out a fever?

I've heard that attempting to sweat out a fever can be very dangerous.

Any professional opinions?
Can you really sweat out a fever?
Sort of.

When someone is having a fever, body temperature rises. Body will try to cool down by sweating, which is one of the main mechanism for a body to cool down. Hence, when one has fever, a lot of time, he will sweat after that so body can cool down a bit and avoid the dangerously high temperature.

Sweating is fine, as long as you don't sweat so much that you become dehydrated.
