What is your weirdest fear? do you think mine is weird?

i'm 20yrs old and I've been driving for 2yrs.


I cant drive when it's dark because I get extremely scared/panicky/sweating etc when I cant see the division lines in a 2way road. Tonight i had to drive to drop off something and I drove thru a street that had faded lines and i started panicking and sweating. My whole body felt warm and I was really scared. The feeling of not knowing if im on the right side of the road, or if im driving wrong, or if im getting too close to the left side...oh i just get really scared.
What is your weirdest fear? do you think mine is weird?
It seems to be a common fear nowadays (or maybe no one used to mention it) but I really hate clowns. They just plain creep me out and are not in the least bit funny.





One of the scariest things in the world to me are granddaddy longlegs, for which I have been given years of grief by family and friends with sick senses of humor.





By the bye, I am 45 and have been driving for years and I am still very nervous driving after dark.

Mine is kinda weird. The thing that terrifies me the most are Clowns. If i see a picture of one i break out in tears.





If I see one in real life, I have a panic attack, I can't breath. I'm not really sure where this fear comes from. I'm 23 years old, but I can't stand clowns
Reply:It's not a big deal if you are afraid to drive in the dark. Many people are, and it's okay. You should really get your eyes checked, you might just have to wear glasses for night driving. That is very common as well. Don't worry. It could be your eyes, it could be also that your lights need to be replaced.
Reply:Equip your car with hallogen headlights.
Reply:I hate clowns. And I hate driving these roads around here at night as well 'cause they are really curvey and just bad roads. Also, please don't laugh but I can't stand to touch other people. I can hug my children and I can hug my husband and things like that. But I hate to touch other people. Like hold hands or feel thier skin in any way. I don't know why. I just do. My dad had asked me to cut his hair and I had to say no 'cause I knew I would be touching him. Now that's wierd.
Reply:no not weird to me im 21 and ive never even had a licsence for that same reason but im also afraid of the dark so...

Reply:Its not a phobia you're experiencing unless its either the night time or driving in general that makes you feel so nervous. I think you have an anxiety related mania (probably mild otherwise you wouldn't even be able to drive).





Manias are often associated with obsessive compulsive thinking and actions as well as repetitive thinking and dwelling on simple things (like fearing you're not driving correctly).





If you were in a car accident at one point in yourself and it was severe (especially as a child) these fears could be a manifestation from that and I think you should seek counciling to deal with these feelings.





If there is no rational psychological reason why these fears would be happening (like you were never even so much as redicculed for your driving), then I think you see doctor or neurologist as you may have experienced a mild seizure. It is possible and if the psychological reasons don't apply you better cover your bases and make sure its not related to a physical condition.





One way to tell if its a seizure is stare at bright lights, or flashing lights (like sirens) if you begin to feel dizzy or disoriented or have similar symptoms as you described, then it was probably a seizure.
Reply:no I don't don't think it is weird at all. actually I think it is a rather common fear. I don't know if my fear is "weird" but I fear losing my sanity or intelligence and still living.
