Does anyone appreciate sweat equity as the way to build a small business anymore?

It seems people want everything handed to them, even the few WEB references to sweat equity are based on hand outs with minor strings to put some time in like Habitat for Humanity. Not real sweat equity as I was taught and like an apprentice did 150 years ago to learn a skill and build a small business.

It scares me that few people are aware the gift of learning a skill as it鈥檚 own reward or unpaid time to better a work environment.

Swear equity built this country.

I hear you. I see a lot of askers here at Yahoo Answers posting questions on how they can make money fast with little effort. Even in my website, we get a lot of questions from visitors asking us to tell them what is the best business that can make them earn a lot preferably for short period of time.

No wonder that many fall prey to get-rich-quick scams. Many people are looking for a shortcut; they do not want to work hard at it. They want money -- NOW -- but they do not want to sweat for it.

I always believe that there will be no scammers if there are no suckers. Unfortunately, there are many -- so bizopp scams are here to stay. Sweat equity can give you sweet rewards at the end. Hard work, plus determination, patience and little bit of luck are still what makes a successful entrepreneur.
