Safe to sweat on a new tattoo?

tattoo is 6 days old and all the scabs have fallen off is it safe to sweat allot on it, i know u want to keep it from drying up so i dont see why not

It's fine... But if it's not healed all the way it may sting a bit. There's salt in sweat.

Reply:Its safe but you should wash t as soon as possible.
Reply:whenever you sweat you need to wash the tattoo as soon as possible. you aren't supposed to let it dry out but you also need to keep it clean and sweat has a lot of bacteria in it which is NOT keeping it clean. so if you sweat, wash your tattoo asap.
Reply:its safe but have a shower asap after your done sweating and apply whatever the shop gave u to take care of it with.
Reply:Its fine if your sweat, The key thing is to wash it 3-5 times a day when you first get it and keep it moist with non-fragrenced lotion. Dont sweat and have your shirt rub your tattoo tho- that creats a build up of bacteria and prone to infection/ improper healing.

Reply:when i got mine i decided to keep running daily, not just a mile more like 7 a day, so i had quite a bit of sweat. from that is had some color leak out because it wasent exactly setteled yet and the in just come back out, but the tatto looks no different than right after i got it so i would say you are safe, but if you lost some color then you can go back and have it touched up.
Reply:It should be safe. If in doubt, just cover with a thin layer of vaseline, that will keep the sweat out without drying out the tattoo.
