May be a stupid question about sweat....?

when you work out and sweat, is it possible if you dont wipe off the sweat you could gain the weight back from absorbing it back through the skin....lol someone told me this i thought it was hilarious but is it true?
May be a stupid question about sweat....?
Of course not. But I did swim last summer at the lake - I gained 25 lbs that afternoon!

Does that sound as kind of like this question?

nope
Reply:You don't "lose weight by sweating". You cool off by sweating. You burn fat by burning the stored energy to feed the muscles.

But gaining weight from your sweat? That's absolutely ridiculous, and entirely untrue.
Reply:nope-you can't gain weight from reabsorbing sweat. You can, however, gain from getting over-heated and retaining water, but that's because you're not releasing water (as in sweating). I have seemed to gain weight from being in the heat (like when camping or swimming), but it usually goes away quick when I'm back home for a few days and back to normal.
