Why do i sweat under my arm? and what can i do to make it stop.?

i'm an 18 year old girl and when i'm going out its embarrsaaing to have my arm pit giving out beads of sweat .plz help

As a women our bodies change a lot, especially at your age. Most likely it is your hormones changing. I have had to switch up with my deodorants, just like we change our shampoo and I get better results, for awhile. Secret has a new prescription deodorant out now, try it, I found that it works great. If that does not work and you are still having problems, go see a dermatologist. You should be able to get relief, or an answer as to what is going on. Good luck. try using a deodorant spray...i'm a male but it works for me
Reply:anti-perspiring deodorant helps. not sure if it will stop completely
Reply:Sweat is normal and healthy, but in our modern era, we do not need it as much because we have air conditioning to cool our bodies. We actually hate our own body smell, which is what attracts the opposite sex. Hum-mm.


Wearing deodorant can help, but you must get one with an antiperspirant...and some experts are advising against this. I don't know the reason.


It is not the sweat that smells, it is the germs that like to live there. NV
Reply:I took some medicine for a while called Glycopyrrolate that my dermatologist recommended. It really worked on making me not sweat under my arms but I noticed that my feet sweat more. The lesser of two evils I guess. ha! Good luck.
Reply:i have suffered with this problem for many years. prescription from a dermatologist did not even work. i've tried every deodorant and nothing. i've changed my diet, developed healthy eating habits and drank lots of water and now i no longer sweat more than the average amount.
