Men and shaving their hair off?

Is it odd for a man to shave his legs? See, I have a friend who is constantly sweating from being nervous all the time, and he says he sweats so much, it all catches on to his hair all over his body. Perspiration overload, basically. Now he's not talking about the head on his hair, but the hair on his legs, armpits, and arms. He's tried overloading himself with baby powder just to keep himself dry, but uh, it didn't work.

So now he want's to shave off his hair on his legs and stuff. He says just his legs. But is it ok for a man to shave their legs and if they do shave, will their hair grow back all the more thicker?

It is okay for a man or a woman to do anything they wish with their bodies, including shaving whatever they want to shave. If he does this however, his legs won't stop sweating and they will now stick to the inside of his pants. I had to get my legs shaved for tattooing and when I perspired, my legs clung to my jeans and it really felt terrible. The hair kinda keeps it from sticking. So anyway, it is fine if he wants to do it, cuz it is his body, but I don't think it will give him the desired outcome.
Reply:C'mon, everyone know it's an ole wives tale that shaving makes hair grow any different than it did before. DNA tells hair follicles what to due, not Norelco. It obviously isn't common for a guy to shave his legs, but if he's not liking it but feels he needs to coz it keeps him 'sweatier', then feel bad for his situation. Btw, there are medications to help with overactive sweat glands...just tell him to ask his family doc, the problem will really lessen. If he takes the meds and they help, and he still wants to shave, he has another problem all together ;-)
Reply:if they wish to shave, men may be ridiculed, so i just recommend using a towel after perspiring and using a deodorizing spray to hide the smell. hair will usually grow back to its old length and thickness when shaved. just remember, when you start shaving, it is a daily thing, and i do not recommend it, as hair is natural and healthy for men.
Reply:There is nothing wrong with it, but it will grow back thicker than it is now.
