Shaking & cold sweat .. help??

i stopped drinking for a little less than a month, and friday night i got tipsy again. I haven't drank a drop of alcohol since that night (two nights ago). Tonight, my hand is shaking uncontrolably, i'm feeling very jumpy, not tired at all even though it is 12:30 am [im usually tired by now], and i had a cold sweat before. is this withdrawals? would that make sense? because i just drank a little on friday...

Go to your doctor and ask him if you have Dt's i think that what you call it, a with draw from alcohol.

It's very possible you are having withdrawal symptoms. Sometimes when you quit something you actually become more sensitive to it and it doesn't take much to create a reaction. See your doctor if the symptoms don't ease off soon.
Reply:hey jersygirl, hang in there.for me alcohol played many different games with my feelings, bad %26amp; good.it just wanted me to pick-up another drink.i had these feelings for wks.mos.,on %26amp;off.what helped me was to go to a lot of meetings, sharing how i was feeling %26amp; listening to others that were in the same place i am now.i needed to get strength from others in the group when i was doubtful ( weak ) %26amp; new in the fellowship. i had to listen to others %26amp; listen %26amp; take sugestions %26amp; get a SPONSOR.This is a 1 day @ atime program ( sometimes an hr. @ a time ) until i could get to a meeting. For me, i've found that no-matter how bad i feel, that once i go to a meeting,by the time i leave I FEEL BETTER.I'm going through some tough times rite now,but i've learned that picking up a drink is only going to make it worse, if not today, tommrow. Hang-in there , don't pick-up that 1st drink , go to a meetings %26amp; GET A SPONSOR..........your friend........island.jax
